RBAir is Highly Commended in ISA Awards “Innovation in Independent Education” category

RBAir has been awarded a "Highly Commended" status in the category Innovation in Independent Education.

Congratulations, RBAir!

More good news for Red Balloon of the Air as they are recognised again in the ISA Awards 2023!

RBAir has been awarded a “Highly Commended” status in the category of Innovation in Independent Education.

Each year the Independent School Association (ISA) holds the ISA Awards to recognise independent schools making achievements across a number of different categories across the UK. They offer an excellent opportunity to demonstrate a school’s high-quality provision and to celebrate the success with staff and fellow ISA Members.

This year RBAir entered two awards categories and we’re absolutely delighted to have been Highly Commended for Innovation in Independent Education (as well as being a finalist in the “ISA SEND School of the Year” category!). Red Balloon prides itself on our flexibility to meet student needs, and our Red Balloon of the Air blended provision mixing both online and face-to-face support is a unique way to support young people before they are able to comfortably leave the home, or even speak to new classmates or teachers. Our innovative approach means we can meet students wherever they are in their learning journey to help them progress towards their goals.

RBAir Headteacher, Michelle Williams, has shared her excitement once more about this wonderful news,

This is such incredible news to find we are not only finalists for SEND School of the Year, but Highly Commended for Innovation in Independent Education. It’s a testament to the hard work of our staff team who constantly change, adapt and improve our offering to better reach students and give them the unique support they need to succeed. It’s wonderful to receive this recognition of the innovative, student-focused approach that RBAir takes.

ISA works closely with Headteachers and with other professional bodies to promote excellence in independent education. They seek to influence the national educational debate on behalf of their members while promoting independence and choice.
