Payroll Giving

Giving through your payroll is one of the best ways to maximise your contribution. You notify your employer that you’d like to give a certain amount through your payroll and they will deduct this before you get your paycheck. Your donation is given before you’re taxed on your income giving you instant tax relief without the arduous forms. This means is you pay less to donate more!

Tax relief is based on your tax bracket, so to donate £1 to Red Balloon you pay:

80p if you’re a basic rate taxpayer
60p if you’re a higher rate taxpayer
55p if you’re an additional rate taxpayer
(this differs slightly if you’re a Scottish taxpayer)

Rather than HMRC collecting the remaining 20p, 40p or 45p it comes to Red Balloon!

We are currently registered with Benevity and CAF (Charities Aid Foundation), but know that employers use many different platforms. Your HR department will know all about payroll giving at your company, so a quick email to them is your first step!

If your company provides payroll giving but uses a different platform, please contact us at fmc@rbet.ac and we will do our best to get set up to receive your generous donation!

Give while you shop

easyfundraising

easyfundraising enables you to make a donation while you shop, at no extra cost to you, by turning your everyday online shopping into free donations. How? Just start your online shopping first at easyfundraising, then shop as normal. Their retailers will then make a small donation to say “thank you”.

They have over 4,000 retailers to choose from and so far they’ve raised over £31 million for thousands of charities like ours across the UK. Simply type Red Balloon in the ‘search for a cause’ box to find us.

Sell on ebay

You can list items for sale on ebay to raise funds for Red Balloon. It’s just like selling normally, but you can designate a portion of your sale to be paid directly to us a donation. Find out more about how to make charitable listings on ebay.
