Head’s Welcome

Red Balloon Education Trust Norfolk is now open and we look forward to welcoming our first young people into an enriching environment where they feel safe and ready to reach their full potential.

After recently joining the RBET community, I am extremely excited to be putting the finishing touches to the recently renovated centre on Earlham Road in Norwich. I am looking forward to working closely with learners, parents/carers, staff, volunteers and governors, to ensure we provide a nurturing environment where young people feel valued and ready to learn.

I am passionate about working with young people who have experienced barriers to their learning and benefit from additional support to overcome these. By joining our centre each individual will develop a growth mindset to enable them to access a life-long love of learning.

Many of our learners are yet to be part of a community where they can develop their confidence and self- worth. At Red Balloon Education Trust Norfolk we are committed to supporting our learners to achieve personal success and independence skills to prepare for adult life.

I have worked in education for over 20 years in a range of roles including supporting the most vulnerable learners 1:1 and small groups, teaching classes both mainstream and SEN, SENDCO and Deputy Head, and now as Head of Centre.

It is an exciting time to be part of Red Balloon Education Trust and it’s newest centre will continue to build on the excellent reputation of RBET where young people are at the heart of every decision we make.
