Leaving a gift donation in your will is a wonderful way to leave a lasting legacy. Every gift, whatever the size, helps us support vulnerable children through our unique blend of education, well-being and social re-engagement.
You don’t need to leave a fortune, or decide between Red Balloon and your family, but anything you do leave will help to keep delivering the very best support to the students who need us – for generations to come.
If you do choose, or have already chosen, to leave a gift in your will to Red Balloon, please let us know to help us plan for the future.
Help children transform their lives – for generations to come
Hundreds of children have reconnected with learning and life since Red Balloon started in 1996. However, there are still more who need help. By leaving Red Balloon a donation in your Will, large or small, you could change the future for the thousands of young people who might otherwise fail to find their place in life.
It’s easier to leave a gift than you think
A gift can be made simply by adding a Codicil* (an amendment or adjustment) to an existing Will or alternatively you can make a new one.
There are three different types of legacy gifts you could leave us once you have provided for your family and friends. A gift can be made simply by adding a codicil* to an existing Will or alternatively you can make a new Will.
- A residuary gift is a percentage of the remainder of your estate once other gifts and expenses have been settled
- A pecuniary gift is a specified cash sum. Due to inflation, the value of a pecuniary legacy erodes over time, so you may like to consider index-linking this type of gift
- A specific legacy is where a donor leaves us a non-cash gift such as property, stocks and shares or a personal item
