Summary of role
Are you ready to offer support and guidance to some of our young students who have been affected by bullying? If so, we have a rewarding opportunity for you to make a significant impact in supporting our students to engage with the community outside of our Centres in our Charity Shop.
We are dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for students who have experienced bullying and feel discouraged from pursuing their education in a mainstream setting. We understand that their journey to healing requires more than just academic lessons; it demands compassion, empathy, and unwavering support.
We are excited to announce our search for Volunteer Shop Support Workers to work alongside students of Red Balloon of the Air at a non-profit making shop selling donated items. Our students find social engagement challenging; our Volunteer Shop Support Workers will aim to boost their confidence and inspire them in a relaxed working environment. They will also offer students practical support in customer facing tasks in the shop and also ‘back of house’ tasks such as sorting items donated to the shop. We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, approachable and enjoy being around other people!
