RBAir Attends Pinpoint Annual Conference

Red Balloon of the Air had the privilege of attending the Pinpoint Annual Conference in St. Ives on the 3rd of October. Pinpoint provides help and information to parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire. They listen, engage and work with parent carers for the benefit of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families.

The annual conference was the first one held since 2020 and was very well attended, as everyone was happy to be back! The conference was a collaborative space for parents, caregivers and professionals to unite to empower children with additional needs, gain knowledge and make connections.

The event featured keynote speakers and workshops on a variety of subjects. Red Balloon of the Air’s Assistant Headteacher, Christina Smith, led a workshop titled ‘Help your child engage in Education’ that was well-received by the audience of parents and carers. Though the topic was broad, it left the conversation open for more dialogue at the Red Balloon of the Air stand where attendees could further chat with Christina, Headteacher Michelle Williams, Admissions Officer Helen and Anna from the Development team.

‘We enjoyed the opportunity to connect with such hardworking, determined parents,’ said Smith. ‘It was a pleasure to meet with other providers and services and talk directly with parents to learn more about their individual needs and how Red Balloon of the Air can help and support.’
