Hours: 16 hours per week, 4 days a week, including Fridays. 52 weeks a year with 30 days pro rata holiday, plus bank holidays.

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 Pro Rata FTE Depending on experience (Actual £9,200 – £10,000)

Due to recent growth, Red Balloon Educational Trust has created a new Accounts Assistant role which will play essential role in providing support to the provisions within our trust as we grow and expand. The role reports to the (RBET) Head of Finance who supports and manages finances for various RBET Centres throughout the UK.

Through maintaining financial systems, recording and processing financial information, data entry and general financial administration, you will ensure effective financial management for RBET Central Services. This role is being offered initially for 16 hours per week, over 3 or 4 days, and must include Friday. Our Central Services team works in a Hybrid model, and this role would have a requirement to be onsite in Milton, though working from home will be an option once the successful candidate has passed their probation.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage the day-to- day bookkeeping of RBET Central Services including the recording of receipts and outgoings on Xero;
  • Oversee day-to-day finances including banking, bank reconciliations, purchase and sales ledgers;
  • Manage and complete the set up of payments of supplier invoices, employee expenses, payroll and other relevant expenditure;
  • Support the RBET Head of Finance with regards to any required financial reporting;
  • Process RBET credit cards and raise any credit card issues or discrepancies with RBET Head of Finance;

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Educated to A Level or Equivalent
  • GCSE’s – C Grade / Level 5 or above in Maths and English
  • Experience of using business CRM or Finance systems and other IT systems Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
