Recognising World Wellbeing Week 2025: Wellbeing at the Heart of Learning
At Red Balloon, wellbeing is not an add-on—it is the foundation upon which everything else is built. For World Wellbeing Week (23rd–27th June 2025), we join individuals and organisations around the world in recognising the importance of wellbeing in all aspects of life: mental, physical, emotional, and social.
This week encourages us to reflect on how we care for ourselves and for each other. For our learners, many of whom have faced significant challenges, including bullying, trauma, and extended periods out of education, wellbeing is not a luxury. It is essential.
We know that young people cannot engage in learning unless they feel safe, supported, and heard. That’s why every aspect of the Red Balloon approach is designed with wellbeing at its core. Across our Centres and online community, we create environments where learners can begin to rebuild confidence, rediscover their strengths, and re-engage with education at a pace that feels right for them.
Wellbeing at Red Balloon
Wellbeing at Red Balloon means:
- A personalised approach to education, recognising that every learner’s journey is unique.
- A commitment to therapeutic support, embedded into daily practice.
- A culture of compassion, where learners are listened to, valued, and empowered to use their voices.
- Celebrating progress, no matter how big or small, and recognising the courage it takes to show up.
This World Wellbeing Week, we’re encouraging everyone in the Red Balloon community—students, families, staff, and supporters—to consider what wellbeing means to them. What helps you feel grounded, connected, or calm? What small changes can we make to support our own wellbeing and that of others?
By prioritising wellbeing, we create the conditions for learning, growth, and meaningful change. Not just this week, but every day.
Because every young person deserves to feel safe, every learner deserves to be seen. And every journey forward begins with care.
