Place2Be-A children’s mental health charity with over 25 years of experience working with pupils, families and staff in UK schools.

Childline-Childline is a counselling service for children and young people up to their 19th birthday in the United Kingdom provided by the NSPCC.

MindEd-MindEd is a free educational resource on children, young people, adults and older people’s mental health.

Samaritans-Samaritans is a registered charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide throughout Great Britain and Ireland, often through their telephone helpline.

No More Panic-This site provides valuable information for sufferers and carers of people with panic, Anxiety, Phobias and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD).

Time to Change-Time to Change was a mental health campaign in England, launched in 2007 with the objective of reducing mental health-related stigma and discrimination.

Eating Disorders

LGBTQ+

LGBT Switchboard-Switchboard is the second-oldest LGBT+ telephone helpline in the United Kingdom.

FFLAG-A national voluntary organisation and charity dedicated to supporting parents and their lesbian, gay, bisexual and Trans sons and daughters.

MindLine Trans+-An emotional and mental health support helpline for anyone identifying as transgender, non-binary, genderfluid and so on. A helpline is available.

Galop-Galop works with and for LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK

MindOut-A mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people. They work to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all LGBTQ communities and to make mental health a community concern.

Stonewall-Stonewall is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights charity in the United Kingdom. It is the largest LGBT rights organisation in Europe.

The Proud Trust-An LGBTQ+ organisation that supports LGBT+ young people through youth groups, peer support, mentoring programs and the Proud Connections.

The Trevor Project-The world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning young people.) Helpline and chat are available.

StopHateUK-Stop Hate UK is one of the leading national organisations working to challenge all forms of Hate Crime and discrimination, based on any aspect of an individual’s identity.

Naz and Matt Foundation-Their mission is to never let religion, any religion, come in the way of the unconditional love between parents and their children

Suicide/ Self Harm

Maytree-Maytree is a national registered charity. They provide a unique residential service for people in suicidal crisis so they can talk about their suicidal thoughts and behaviour.

Papyrus-Papyrus exists to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives by shattering the stigma around suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour.

LifeSigns-An online, user-led voluntary organisation, was founded in 2002 to create understanding about self-injury and provide information and support to people of all ages affected by self-injury.

CALM-A free and confidential helpline and webchat – open from 5 pm to midnight every day, for anyone who needs to talk about life’s problems.

MeeToo-The MeeToo app allows you to talk anonymously about difficult things with other people of a similar age or experience. You can get help with your problems or use your experiences to help others. The app is a safe space where all posts and replies are checked before going live so there is no harassment, bullying or grooming.

OCD/ADHD

OCDUK-OCD-UK provide advice, information, and support services for those affected by OCD, and campaign to end the trivialisation and stigma of OCD.

ADHD Foundation-The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity is an integrated health and education service offering a unique lifespan – strength-based service, for the 1 in 5 people who live with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Tourette’s syndrome.

Autism and Neurodivergence

National Autism Society-The National Autistic Society is the leading charity for autistic people and their families in the UK.

Neurodiversity Hub-Support neurodiverse untapped talent to shine, through focused training programs, academic accommodations, assistive technologies and flexible study arrangements.

Different Brains-Different Brains strives to encourage understanding & acceptance of individuals who have variations in brain function and social behaviours known as neurodiversity.

Neurodiversity Network-The purpose of Neurodiversity Network is to provide resources for neurodivergent job seekers and neurodivergent students, employers & universities, & the support of the neurodiverse community.

PDA Society-Provides information, support and training about PDA for individuals, families and professionals. We aim to increase acceptance and understanding of a PDA profile and to improve outcomes for individuals and families by focusing everyone involved on ‘what helps’.

Young Carers

Children’s Society-Young people come to the Children’s Society when they have low self-esteem. When they’re living in families who can’t afford the next meal, the next size up in school uniform. Or when there’s no one else to lean on.

Anti-Bullying Alliance-A unique coalition of organisations and individuals, working together to achieve our vision to stop bullying and create safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.

Kidscape-Kidscape gives hope and help to thousands of children and families each year and works in communities throughout England and Wales to help keep children safe.

NSPCC-Aims to protect children today and prevent abuse tomorrow, to transform society for every childhood.

National Bullying Helpline-Help and advice covering bullying in the workplace, bullying at school and online harassment.

UK Safer Internet Centre-You can find online safety tips, advice and resources to help children and young people stay safe online.

YoungMinds-A mental health charity for children, young people and their parents making sure all young people can get the mental health support they need.

EHCP Resources

Council For Disabled Children-Wants all disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs to have full and happy childhoods, fulfil their potential, and be active within the community. And we want parents of disabled children to be parents first – living ordinary lives.

SENDIASS-The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Services offer information, advice and support for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This service is also offered directly to young people.
