Fixed-Term: 7th June 2021 – 12th July 2022

Hours: 28 Hours Per week over 4 days

Salary: £22,889 – £24,449 Pro Rata Per Annum

Role:

As our Transitions Officer, you will play a key part in working towards the long-term objectives of RBAir to support students to access the future education, training or employment pathways of their choice. You will work in partnership with the Link Mentor Manager and the SENDCo to deliver the role objectives.

This is a pivotal organisational role, ensuring our young people have access to careers education (our Breakaway programme), with specific targeted support offered to final year (usually year 11+) students. Due to many students accessing education on extended timelines, the transitions support may be delayed until year 12, year 13 or beyond. Breakaway involves the delivery of online and face-to-face sessions assisting students in identifying and working towards their appropriate goals for after they leave our provision.

You will liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure secure student plans are in place. You will also track the progress of students following their departure from RBAir.

What you will need to succeed

It is essential that you have experience in working with young people and their families, and it would be preferable if you are a qualified teacher or are educated to a degree level. As the core of this role is to support our students transition into future education, training or employment pathways of their choice, experience in careers support would be preferable, as well as previous experience of coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to support the educational transition journey.

Salary : £22,889 – £24,449 Pro Rata Per Annum (Paid equally over 52 weeks)
Location : Remote working after a successful induction period. You will need to be commutable to our offices in Cambridge.
Holiday : 59 days (During school holidays) plus bank holidays
