Teaching and Learning Support Volunteers (2 – 4 positions available)

Red Balloon of the Air

Location: Milton, Cambridge and/or Peterborough

Hours: Tuesday 11 – 2
Tuesday 1.30 – 4 pm
Thursday 1.30 – 4pm

Role:

  • Teaching and Learning Support Volunteers
  • Direct work with young people based in Milton, Cambridge and/or Peterborough
  • Focus would be on supporting the development of social confidence, communication and life skills
  • 1:1 and small group work under the close guidance and support of qualified teachers and therapists.
  • These opportunities can span the 3 core areas of our provision: Academic teaching and learning, Well-being, Social re-engagement

Qualities:

  • Friendly and confident in their ability to interact with young people with SEMH
  • Intuitive with empathy (emotional intelligence)
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Creative and able to use initiative

Applicants must have at least 2 years of relevant experience or a strong interest to work with this cohort of young people.
