Hours: 28 – 36 hours per week, occasional evening work will be involved

Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 (Pro Rata) depending on experience

Are you looking for an exciting Senior Fundraising Officer role where you will really make an impact and have the ability to bring your ideas and experience to the table? Then this is the role for you.

In 2021 we are on target to raise in excess of £240,000 via grants, event income and donations. In 2022 our aim is to raise £300,000. As the Senior Fundraising Officer you will play a pivotal role in supporting us to reach this target. Our 2025 target is to raise in excess of £500,000.

Our newly created Senior Fundraising Officer role is suited to someone who has recently been or is currently working as part of a fundraising team and is ready to move into a Senior role where they are able to support the growth and development of the fundraising department. A key goal for the role will be to generate a sustainable flow of charitable income for the Red Balloon Educational Trust.

 

What you will need to succeed

To support us in achieving these ambitious goals you must have substantial experience – with proven success in creating and delivering effective fundraising campaigns across a wide range of fundraising channels. You will have experience in using a CRM for constituent management, and of following fundraising best practices and GDPR requirements.

You will manage end to end fundraising delivery, including writing creative and compelling funding applications to trusts & foundations, corporate and individual donors. You will also be involved in creating and coordinating a small number of fundraising events.

You will develop new and nurture existing relationships and be confident in representing Red Balloon at fundraising and networking events to help expand our reach both locally and nationally, as such you will be required to work a small number of evenings to support events throughout the year.

You will have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets across a wide range of fundraising channels, as well as an understanding and commitment to deliver a memorable fundraising experience through excellent stewardship. You will also have experience in budget management and reporting.
