Red Balloon of the Air is expanding and are seeking a new enthusiastic HR Administrative Assistant to come and join our friendly and passionate team.

You will play a key role in shaping and creating the administrative functions that allow us to support our colleagues. It is vital that we deliver exemplary service to our staff in order to support them in their delivery of the vital work they do with our young people.

You will play a key role in recruitment and onboarding, as well as adapting the service to become more efficient and effective. You will be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to all of our colleagues with a professional yet empathetic approach. You will be the first port of call and offer administrative support in areas including, but not limited to recruitment, payroll, the maintenance of HR systems and files, and task the lead in the management of our online HR System (Breathe).

  • This part-time role offers a flexible working pattern from day one with office and remote working.
  • Our core business hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.
  • This role is term time only, plus 10 days to allow for paid time during holiday periods which can be worked as individual days throughout the holiday periods within the school year.

You will be flexible, personable, have an eye for detail, and be an excellent communicator, able to communicate via telephone, letter, email, or face-to-face (in person or via online video). This is a varied role that will allow the successful candidate to become involved in a wide range of areas within the HR spectrum, giving them exposure to the business as a whole which will support their development as an HR professional.

What you will need to succeed

It is essential that you have experience in an administrative role and the ability to multi-task. You will need to be able to communicate effectively and generate rapport with co-workers. Being trustworthy and reliable is also important, as you may receive personal information. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the HR database and be working with online automation tools, therefore, the experience of working with online software systems is essential.
