Red Balloon Cambridge

Location: Norfolk Street, Cambridge

Hours: 0.75FTE (30 hours), 38 weeks per year. Job share considered.

Salary: Annual (FTE) salary of £20,184. Pro-rated at 0.75FTE = £15,138 per annum.

Role

We are currently recruiting for a Cook to join the team at our Norfolk Street Centre.

The purpose of this role is to plan and prepare delicious and nutritious (mostly) vegetarian meals for a group of around 30 people (staff, students and visitors).

You will liaise with the Centre Coordinator/Deputy Coordinators. The Cook is a participating member of the community, communicating regularly with all staff, students, parents/carers, volunteers and visitors to the Centre.

We work with young people who have been severely bullied and/or experience high levels of anxiety about attending school. We provide a safe environment with clear boundaries for behaviour, and an individual full-time academic, pastoral and therapeutic programme. Once students have regained their confidence and are able to cope academically and socially, we support their return to mainstream school or college or into employment. It is important that the jobholder concurs with this aim.

If you feel that you have the skills, experience and aptitude for this role we would be delighted to hear from you.
