Red Balloon of the Air Launches New Student Hub in Peterborough

We are excited to announce that RBAir is establishing a presence in the Peterborough area by starting a new Student Hub to better support local students!

The new Student Hub will be located in the Little Miracles Building, where RBAir staff and mentors will support students once a week. This is a start to the long-term plan to establish a permanent physical presence in Peterborough.

Headteacher of RBAir, Michelle Williams, is thrilled about the latest development: “I am delighted that we are able to offer our young people in the Peterborough area the opportunity to work together, in person, in our new local hub.”

Student hubs give a safe and supportive space where students can attend in person to take part in social activities with other students and trusted staff members. For many students who have not left their homes in months, attending a student hub is a vital step in their journeys, helping build their skills and confidence and giving them the chance to meet with fellow students.

“This is an exciting time for us here at Red Balloon of the Air”, said Christina Smith, Assistant Head and Peterborough Development Lead Teacher. “The establishment of a local Student Hub allows us to offer in-person sessions to complement our online provision for the young people living in Peterborough and surrounding areas.”

We look forward to welcoming young people to our new Student Hub beginning in April!

RBAir will be hosting parent open days at the Peterborough Hub on the 6th July from 10:15-11 or 11:00-11:45. If you would like to book a slot, please email anna.hanley@rbair.org.uk.
