National Opportunity Day
At Red Balloon, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to flourish. National Opportunity Day is the perfect occasion to reaffirm our commitment to helping young people who are absent from education re-engage with the wider world.
The Importance of National Opportunity Day
National Opportunity Day highlights the transformative power of new opportunities in education and personal growth. For the young people we support, these opportunities are crucial to overcoming their challenges and building a brighter future.
Many of our young people are absent from education because of mental ill-health, ESBA, bullying, or other traumas. This leads to gaps in learning, isolation and emotional distress. At Red Balloon, we work to bridge these gaps.
Celebrating Opportunities
On National Opportunity Day, we celebrate the achievements of our young people who have embraced new opportunities with our support. Here are just a couple of their inspiring stories:
Lilly: Lilly, who faced severe bullying, found a safe space to learn through RBAir which allowed her to regain her confidence and excel academically.
Ethan: Ethan struggled with anxiety but benefitted from our supportive community and personalised learning approach which led to a renewed enthusiasm in education.
