I have the privilege of working with all of our Centres, 'bricks and mortar' and virtual, to maximise the quality of what we do. My job entails working with Coordinators and their staff and listening to students to ensure that we offer outstanding learning opportunities within supportive, yet suitably challenging, communities, and that we meet the requirements of the DfE and Ofsted so that every young person has access an education that is categorised as ‘good’ at least.
The aim of ‘good for all’ cannot be achieved if all providers look and feel the same. We should, rightly, be asked to deliver high quality provision and to match our outcomes against those of others, but we are proud of the fact that we do things differently. We hold UCP (unconditional positive regard) at the heart of all that we do – matching that to the creation of an effective learning environment where students have a strong voice, where they follow bespoke programmes, where expectations are high without being daunting, and you have a necessary small raft within the education fleet. As the CEO notes, not everyone will want to board that raft. If you consider this would be an appropriate placement for a child or young person for whom you are responsible, please contact us.
